Of course, this does not apply to ME, but I had to share this bit from last nights Daily Show. Sometimes I am ashamed to be a man.

Hi,
It seems there’s something of a disconnect between your responses to the item about the man who challenged Oregon police, and Samantha Bee’s segment on the Daily Show.
Are you more ashamed of men who engage in domestic violence and threaten police, or men who are obviously non-violent trying to expand their horizons of thought?
I wondered what an 18 or 19 year-old young man might take from Samantha Bee’s segment. Are they likely to want to share their feelings with others, and forego the macho culture zeitgeist of today? Or will they suppress their feelings so that they erupt into domestic violence in subsequent years?
I found Samantha Bee’s segment decidedly unhelpful in today’s climate where young men see confrontational models (packing Ak47s) everywhere in the media, and so are likely to bottle up their subtle insecurities, or project them in more aggressive unthinking ways. I think she just added to the problem quite frankly.
